OUR COMMITMENT

Responsible Growth

PT Indotama Omicron Kahar is committed to achieving responsible growth through sustainable sourcing, consistent product quality, environmental responsibility, employee development, and continuous improvement.

CORE COMMITMENT

Our Commitment to Responsible Business

We are committed to consistently using raw materials from legal sources, gradually increasing the use of materials certified from sustainably managed forests, avoiding supporting materials containing substances that are harmful to humans, developing a Chain of Custody (CoC) system, strengthening human resource capabilities, producing high-quality products that meet customer expectations, and developing relevant management systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

01

Social Responsibility

Forest Farmer Empowerment & Sustainable Community Development: Through CV. Indotama Kayu Lestari, we work directly with local community forest farmer groups by providing free tree seedlings and promoting selective logging practices to ensure forest sustainability. Occupational Health & Safety (OHS): Our employees are our greatest asset. We implement strict OHS standards, provide complete personal protective equipment, and maintain healthy factory air circulation to prevent exposure to wood dust. Respect for Human Rights: We uphold fairness in the workplace by ensuring equal pay, prohibiting child labor, and fostering an inclusive dialogue environment free from discrimination.

02

Sustainable Sourcing

Indotama is committed to ensuring that the timber logs we use do not originate from illegal logging. SVLK Certification: Indotama implements the Indonesian Timber Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK) as evidence of a legal and traceable timber supply chain. International Certification: Compliance with FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) standards for products primarily intended for export to the European Union, where strict regulations against deforestation apply.

03

Adhesive Eco-Standards

Traditional wood veneer bonding processes use formaldehyde-based resin adhesives that can generate harmful gas emissions (VOC). Low-Emission Standards: Indotama is committed to using environmentally friendly adhesives certified to world-class standards such as CARB-P2 (California emission standards) or European E0/E1 classifications. This is essential to ensure that plywood products are safe for indoor air quality.

04

Zero-Waste Policy

Plywood manufacturing generates solid waste such as wood offcuts, wood shavings, and sawdust. The industry has a responsibility to implement circular recycling practices. Self-Sustaining Biomass: Production residues and bark are reused as fuel for the factory's internal boiler to support production processes that require steam. Wood Dust: Residual wood dust from the sanding process is compacted and processed into wood pellet products.

05

Effluent Treatment

Cleaning adhesive machinery generates hazardous wastewater. Indotama operates an integrated WWTP / wastewater treatment system. The treated water is filtered to remove harmful substances and is then reused for watering and other appropriate processes.
